![]() ![]() Their book selection and vinyl selection in particular was outstanding. As sweet as she could be! It looked like their buying program was rather busy but she made me feel like I wasnt a bother at all. Stopped by to sell my things a few days ago and was helped by Rachel W. She clearly doesnt care about the customers items. She then proceeded to put my hardback books on top of my paperback books. I had very popular items in very good condition that I know they were out of. is working dont even bother trying to sell anything she was extremely rude from when i walked into the door to the time I left. Prices and selection are still decent but it just is not a pleasant experience anymore, ![]() The manager seems to know nothing about books or how things work in the store and has a major hygiene problem which is distracting to say the least. They are understaffed so it takes them forever to process books for sale. Used to be a great store but it has really gone downhill the past few months. Also, friendlier employees would be an asset. The cashier was yawning as she checked us out, tossed the receipt on top of the books, and no bag for the books!? Nice store, but prices should be set based on condition of the book. Some of the books had markings on the page edges, corners bent, and a couple had sticky covers. Nice bookstore, but a bit overpriced on many books in various conditions. Its clean, the staff is very friendly, and there is also am option to sell stuff back to them. Weve even done some Christmas shopping here for family and friends. I usually get a lot of literature there for myself and my children. Almost anything you can think of they have and all at reasonable prices. ![]() Make this a stop if youre in the area and looking for somewhere to pick up used games! The selection they have is awesome although I only personally went for retro games, they have a impressive amount of books, figures and many other things I cant think to list. Both times there was plenty of staff on hand to get me checked out in a short amount of time. Ive gone twice in the past week to grab various retro games and accessories. Murphys was huge, Had a great selection, reasonably priced books and offered the most for my books. I ended up running to Murphys in Kettering to ditch the last two books and was given 10 dollars for the 2 books. I was offered 2.00 for 10 books in excellent condition and they refused to even take the one I was offered 7 dollars for at half priced books plus one other book. Before going to second and Charles I picked up some more books from home. I thought I could get more elsewhere so I went to second & Charles. I was offered 7.00 for a book at half prices books. Do not waste your time with this business. I went to half price books in Beavercreek and was offered four times the amount and was able to sit and enjoy a book in a clean chair. If he had brought the books back to the counter in the containers they use then he wouldnt have had to take 10 steps to grab them and he wasnt even helpful enough to help me get them out of the container. The guy was extremely rude when explaining the store exchange policy and then seemed upset when I asked for my books back. If this person would have looked at them they would have seen that they were test prep books, which they have a small section of in a corner. They offered me $5 for 4 books and then proceeded to tell me they dont typically take school books. While waiting for my offer I noticed the chairs are all ripped and had trash in them. Great condition and no marks in them at all. I brought in several NCLEX review books that were 2016. HMMM - I’M NOT SURE BUT IT SOUNDS LIKE A CLASSIC CASE OF “BAIT & SWITCH”-BE WARNED - STAY AWAY FROM THIS JOINT!!!!!! He went in to pick the book up - a few minutes later coming out saying that he would have to pay $19.99 plus tax for the book - which they had in stock! We were already in the car having visited several bookstores in our area north of Dayton and decided to head down to the store quite a number of miles away. The “sales woman” (?) left him on hold - returning a few minutes later saying they indeed had a copy for $2.99.Great!!!! He asked once again if it was indeed a paperback and she assured him it was, and would he like to put it on hold.He readily agreed AND AGAIN ASKED THE PRICE which she said was $2.99. We called 2nd & CHARLESīookshop in the Town & Country Shopping Center on E. We tried several used bookstores to no avail. My son has been trying to find a particular book that is required for summer reading assignment. ![]()
